2024 FIA F3 Champion: Leo Fornaroli!

by Alex Johnston

If you’re going to win a championship you might as well do it like Leonardo Fornaroli. The Italian driver took this year’s title on home soil at Monza, making the decisive move on the last corner of the last lap, robbing his compatriot rival of the title…and that is all without winning a single race this season.

Fornaroli has now culminated his F3 career with a title in his sophomore season, taking six podiums and 16 points and become a true mark of what it means to be consistent and competitive in a series.

The Italian is not currently tied to an F1 academy team but is sure to have attracted some attention with the style in which he took his first ever title, ensuring the honour of helping a driver stays with Trident Racing this year after they helped Gabriel Bortoleto to the title last season too.

📸 Bortoleto has been very impressive since stepping up to F2.

Fornaroli is now expected to step up to F2 soon, with plenty teams surely circling like sharks to enlist the services of a champion for the 2025 season.
