A small chat with Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak!

by Alex Johnston

It’s not every day you get to have talk with a racing driver, but the days I do keep me very excited! This most recent interview is with Formula 3 driver, Tasanapol(Tern/Tas) Inthraphuvasak!

Tas has just finished his first season of Formula 3 with AIX Racing where he mustered up a strong podium in Hungary, showcasing his ability to lead and to hold his own at the front of the pack. For 2025, he’ll be racing with Campos in F3 as he returns for a sophomore season.

Here’s what Tas had to say!

First, you’ve just been announced by Campos for your second Formula 3 season - what is your 2025 goal? “The goal in 2025 is for sure to fight for the title. It will be my second year in the championship and after finishing the first season with very strong pace and some good results I am confident I will be able to build on that for the upcoming season. We just finished the first post season test in Jerez and I already feel like im working very well with the team so very confident for the season.“

What did you learn with AIX last season? “Learned different things throughout the season driving for AIX. Being both mine and the team’s first year in the championship, we knew it was always going to be very tough. However we managed to progress throughout the season together which really showed through the results during the second half of the season. Really appreciate the team and everyone around that kept pushing me all year long, especially my engineer Jaume who helped me improve massively.”

You’ll be driving the all new Formula 3 car, what’s the most exciting part about that? “To have a new car next year will make it very interesting, all teams will almost have to start from zero again. I really like how the new car looks with the changes made so I cant wait to finally hit the track running at the beginning of next year.”

The 2024 F3 grid was a really strong one, was there any driver you really enjoyed racing against throughout the season? “The drivers I enjoyed competing with the most this year was probably my two teammates. I think we had a very good relationship off the track between all of us. We all pushed each other very hard and I learned a lot from both of them.”

You proved your own worth in Hungary with a podium in Hungary, how much did you enjoy that weekend? “Hungary was definitely one of the most enjoyable weekends of the year. First podium in the category and making it a 1-2 for the team was also very special.”

Was there a sense of relief when you got the podium? “We had a very strong pace in the races before Hungary already but different things that were out of our control stopped the team and I from getting the result we deserved so finishing on the podium in Hungary was definitely a relief and a confidence boost for the rest of the season.”

Who is your motorsport hero? “Someone I look up to in motorsports would be Alex Albon. I watched alex progress from GP3 when I was younger all the way to F1.”

📸 Alex Albon has now spent five seasons racing in F1.

What is your goal in racing? “Bringing the Thai flag to F1 and also making the motorsports community grow in Thailand is very inspirational. My ultimate goal as a race driver is to compete in Formula 1”.

What are you most looking forward to in 2025? “The thing I’m looking forward to the most for 2025 is to work alongside Campos racing to help them develop the new car so we have a package that is as competitive as possible and hopefully win some races.”

I’d like to say a huge thanks to Tas for taking the time to do this, we look forward to hopefully chatting with him again!
