This morning, upcoming racing star, Ollie Bearman has signed a multi-year deal with HAAS Formula One team. The 19-year-old has been promoted to Formula 1 from Formula 2 for the 2025 season and beyond.

The Ferrari Academy driver made his F1 debut earlier this year in place of Carlos Sainz after he was diagnosed with appendicitis shortly before the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He went on to finish a highly impressive 7th in his maiden race and became the team’s youngest-ever points scorer in Formula One history.

📸 Bearman was the first driver to make their F1 debut for Ferrari since 1972 when he made his appearance this season.

Ollie began motor racing in 2013 at the age of 8 at club level British karting. Within his first year, Ollie finished in the top 5 in the British Karting GP and a year later claimed fourth in the British National Cadet Championship.2020 was the year Ollie went from karts to cars and entered the competitive Ferman and Italian Formula 4 championship, in 2021, Ollie won both of these titles and became the first discover to win the title in both series, claiming 17 victories along the way.

At the end of 2021, Ollie was signed as a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. In 2022, Ollie joined FIA formula 3 and finished P3 in the championship and in 2023, he was promoted to FIA Formula 2 and during this year, he participated in two free practice sessions with MoneyGram Haas F1 team.

📸 Bearman has already taken part in four FP1 sessions with Haas.

In 2024, we have seen Ollie in the Haas car twice so far, at Imola and Spain and gears up for a third free practice session this weekend at Silverstone.

With Nico Hulkenberg departing Haas for Sauber at the end of the 2024 season, this leaves one seat up for grabs at Haas. Rumours say Esteban Ocon and Valtteri Bottas are believed to be under consideration for this seat with Magnussen potentially fighting his way to keep his seat if his performances can be as consistent as his performance most recently at the Austrian Grand Prix, where he finished 8th and his teammate Hulkenberg finishing 6th.

📸 Hulkenberg has been one of the most in form drivers but is departing Haas.

For for now, Ollie has added another piece to the unfinished puzzle of the 2025 driver lineup with now only six seats left to fill.
