Brawn, Silverstone and wet races; 10 Questions to a Racing Driver with Jarrod Waberski

The latest ‘10 Questions’ guest is another GB4 Championship star in Jarrod Waberski!

The South African racer is competing with Kevin Mills Racing, and has taken 2 wins and 7 podiums from the 15 races so far and occupies third in the championship standings behind previous guests Max Marzorati and Nikolas Taylor.

Jarrod’s dad, Garth Waberski is a former racing driver who competed in British Formula 3 in the mid 1990’s and South African sports car series’ in the mid 00’s.

Here are Jarrod’s answers!

1. Hairpins or chicanes? Chicanes, especially high speed chicanes.

2. Long straights or slow corners? Long straights.

3. Understeer or oversteer? Oversteer.

4. Fast circuits or technical circuits? Technical circuits, but I think circuits with a bit of both are the best.

5. Wet races or wet/dry races? Wet races.

6. What’s your favourite circuit you’ve raced? Silverstone GP.

📸 Fast. Popular. Iconic. Where else but Silverstone?

7. Favourite you’ve NOT raced? Monaco.

📸 As iconic as Silverstone, the daunting Monaco circuit is the ultimate test of a driver, but “no heroics into Sainte Devote”.

8. Your favourite F1 livery? Brawn GP 2009.

📸 Brawn GP; 1 year in F1, 1 Constructors Championship, 1 Drivers Championship. Good looking car that stunned F1.

9. Your favourite helmet design ever? Sebastian Vettel’s Singapore 2012 helmet.

📸 Seb stuns in Singapore.

10. Who is the best driver you’ve raced against? Motorsport is full of competitive drivers, the best driver you have to race against is yourself, as you are always looking ways to continuously improve.

A massive thanks to Jarrod for taking the time out to talk to me! Hopefully we can do something again sometime!

Jarrod is back in action on the 30th and 31st of July at Silverstone with the GB4 Championship.
