Another week and another guest! This time Malaysian driver Alister Yoong steps into the ‘10 Questions’ hotseat!
The young driver is the son of former Formula 1 racer Alex Yoong, who raced for Minardi in 2001-02 and is currently working towards finding a full time race seat to add to the experience he has driving Formula 4 cars.

At 19, he’s had on track sessions in a number of series’, as well as having a crack at some eSports racing experience.
Anyway, onto Alister’s answers!
1. Hairpins or chicanes? Hairpins.
2. Long straights or slow corners? Long straights.
3. Understeer or oversteer? I like a fast car, and a neutral handling, if there’s an imbalance it’s my job to drive around it.
4. Fast circuits or technical circuits? I like fast but I think I’ve done better at technical tracks.
5. Wet races or wet/dry races? Dry but the wet is fun.
6. What’s your favourite circuit you’ve raced? I have to say Sepang in Malaysia or maybe Abu Dhabi with the new layout.
📸 Sepang was always a fan favourite circuit, and is Alister’s favourite to race so far.
7. Favourite you’ve NOT raced? Nordschleife or maybe Macau.
📸 Guia Circuit, Macau.
8. Your favourite F1 livery ever? The 2006 Renault.

9. Your favourite helmet design ever? I like my dads and mine, love the old school striking simple look.
📸 Alister and dad Alex’s helmets both feature the Malaysian flag.
10. Who’s the best driver you’ve raced against? Haven’t raced technically but the best driver I’ve shared sessions or a weekend I’d say either Zhou(Guanyu), Jack Doohan and Jamie Chadwick.
📸 Alister shared the track with current F1 driver Zhou Guanyu.
Thanks to Alister for taking the time! Hopefully we can chat again sometime.
