Exclusive! Hugo Schwarze steps up to GB3 with Elite Motorsport

by Alex Johnston

In a first ever exclusive, Hugo Schwarze has revealed to thelaidbackraceblog that he'll be racing in the GB3 Championship in 2024.

The German teenager will link up again with the Elite Motorsport team, with whom he spent 2023 in the Ginetta Junior Championship.

He ended the season as runner up to now F4 race winner and F4 Macau podium sitter, Freddie Slater, winning twice, scoring 11 podiums and two pole positions along the way.

📸 Hugo scooped two wins in the Ginetta series in 2023.

Following the 2023 season, the young German driver took part in the official GB3 end of season test at Silverstone.

Hailing from Köln, he'll make his single seater bow in the GB3 series, which has acted as a springboard to FIA F3 in recent years for the likes of Max Esterson, Woohyun Shin, Luke Browning and Joseph Loake, among others, and Schwarze will be hoping for the same effect.

Finally and excitingly, as part of this exclusive news, I'm happy to reveal that for one round of the GB3 Championship - yet to be confirmed - the logo of 'thelaidbackraceblog.com', will appear on the Elite Motorsport car of Hugo Schwarze, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
