F1 Academy, a racing cousin and Girls On Track: 10 More Questions to a Racing Driver with Jess Edgar

My latest guest is another returning one! This time it's young British driver Jessica Edgar!


This year, Jess will be racing in the inaugural season of the all women series 'F1 Academy' with Rodin Carlin having competed in the GB4 Championship in 2022 for her first year of single seater racing.


Jess finished 7th overall, taking one podium as she got to grips with competitive single seater racing.


Onto the questions!


1. Who’s your racing hero or heroes? My racing hero has to be my cousin Jonny. I’ve watched him through his whole career.

2. What’s the first memory you have of racing? I think the first memory I have of racing is going to watch my dad before I started bambino karting my self.


3. What’s the best car you’ve driven so far? The best car I’ve driven so far has to be the new F1 Academy car.

4. What’s your proudest moment so far? My proudest moment so far is being selected to take part in the Girls on track rising star competitions.


5. Your favourite overtake you’ve ever done? My best overtake is hard to choose i’ve done afew good ones.

6. Would you rather race on a street course or on an oval? I think I'd rather race on a street race.


7. If you could pick any teammate, past or present, who would you choose? I’d choose Max Verstappen to be my teammate. I could learn lots from him.

8. No gym, no sim, no travel, no racing; how would you spend a whole day off? I think I'd spend my day at a themepark maybe.

9. If you could drive any race car, past or present, what car would you choose? I’d love to drive any F1 car.

10. What’s the strangest thing to happen to you while you’ve been in the car? Nothing strange has ever happened to me to be honest.
