F2004, Sepang and Vettel’s Singapore helmet: 10 Questions to a Racing Driver with Nikolas Taylor

by Alex Johnston

My next guest on ‘10 Questions’ is the current GB4 Championship leader; Nikolas Taylor.

Nikolas is a Malaysian-English driver who has been a member of the Young Racing Drivers Academy and is currently competing for Fortec Motorsport.

His biggest aim of course is to get into F1 and he is certainly on the right path, having won 4 out of 12 races so far this year, taking 6 podiums.

Here‘s what Nikolas has to say!

1. Hairpins or chicanes? Hairpins.

2. Long straights or slow corners? Long straights.

3. Understeer or oversteer? Oversteer.

4. Fast circuits or technical circuits? Fast circuits.

5. Wet races or wet/dry races? Wet/dry race.

6. What’s your favourite circuit you’ve raced? Silverstone.

📸 A favourite for many, Silverstone.

7. Favourite you’ve NOT raced? Sepang(Malaysian GP circuit).

📸 Sepang Circuit, Malaysia.

8. Your favourite F1 livery ever? 2004 Ferrari(F2004).

📸 Ferrari F2004. Iconic.

9. Favourite helmet design ever? All of Sebastian Vettels helmets(maybe his Singapore GP ones).

📸 Seb Vettel’s helmet choice for 2013 in Singapore was dazzling.

10. Who is the best driver you’ve raced against? At the moment Alex Walker.

📸 Alex Walker, a tough competitor for Nikolas.

(Alex was the first driver I spoke to for this feature, go have a read!)

Thanks to Nikolas for taking the time out of his busy schedule! Really glad to see a young driver with a fondness for Sepang! It’s probably one my absolute favourite circuits!

Nikolas is next in action on the 25th and 26th of June for round 5 of the GB4 Championship at Snetterton.
