Not more than 2 hours after I'd finished this interview, my latest guest; Sting Ray Robb was announced as an IndyCar driver for 2023! I'm delighted he took the time to answer these quickfire questions with me!
Ahead of his IndyCar debut, Sting Ray spent the last two years in the Indy Lights(now INDY NXT), managing to finish second overall in 2022 behind Swede Linus Lundqvist.

In 2020, the uniquely named American(named after a mix of his ancestral home of Stirling, Scotland and he grandfather, Ray) he won the IndyPro 2000 Championship ahead of current IndyCar driver Devlin DeFrancesco.
Onto his answers!
1. Hairpins or chicanes? Hairpins. You can pass people into them a lot easier. Chicanes are fun for testing though!
2. Long straights or slow corners? Tough one! I love street races so I'll say long straights. I love going that fast!
3. Understeer or oversteer? If you ain't lose you ain't fast! Oversteer!
4. Fast circuits or technical circuits? Fast circuits are fun but it doesn't tickle the part of my brain techinical circuits do.
5. Wet races or wet/dry races? Wet/dry. Mixed conditions all the way. We had one at Barber(Motorsports Park) last year and it was crazy!
6. What’s your favourite circuit you’ve raced? Laguna Seca! Also Watkins Glen too though and there's one at the National Corvette Museum which is very fun.

7. Favourite you’ve NOT raced? Spa. It's definitely a bucket list circuit, and so are Le Mans and Monza.

8. Your favourite F1 livery ever? I was inspired by Senna so that McLaren(the MP4/4) immediately comes to mind. I also liked the Brawn GP car and any Red Bull, they're instantly recognisable, even if you take away the fact Red Bull is written on it haha!

9. Your favourite helmet design ever? I like modern takes on retro designs. There was a blue and yellow Camel one a while back but I can't put my finger on who had it! I like my own! Can I say my own? I live very close to my designer so I'm able to work close with them on my designs!

10. Who is the best driver you’ve
raced against? Oh man there's so many. Pato O'Ward, Colton Herta, Kyle Kirkwood...I raced Logan Sargeant and his brother Dalton who were very fast, so was Jack Doohan in karts. I'd say Pato though, he just dominated races we were in together.
