by Alex Johnston

Formula 2 returned to the track today as all 11 teams took to the Barcelona Catalunya circuit to shakedown the brand new cars taking effect from this season.

Victor Martins(above) topped the times in the all black ART Grand Prix car, with 20 drivers taking to the circuit, including Paraguayan newbie Joshua Durksen - the only named driver so far for PHM AIX Racing.

Drivers completed a combined 649 laps of the soon-to-be-replaced circuit, with reigning FRECA champion Andrea Kimi Antonelli completing 53 for PREMA.

The standout feature of the new cars among fans appears to be the large, curved rear wing which draws plenty of attention in images.
