Swedish star Elias Adestam first caught the eye for me when racing in the GB4 Championship in 2022 where he featured at the sharp end of the field more often than not. I'm delighted to have been able to do this short interview with him!

The 17 year old is currently racing in his homeland in the NXT Gen Cup series, which is a touring car based championship.

Onto his answers!
1. Hairpins or chicanes? Chicanes, keeping the flow is just so nice.
2. Long straights or slow corners? Slow corners, straights are for fast cars not fast drivers.
3. Understeer or oversteer? Oversteer, you can countersteer a slide but you cannot turn more to rotate the car when understeering.

4. Fast circuits or technical circuits? Technical circuits, being able to string a lap together on a hard circuit is an amazing feeling.
5. Wet races or wet/dry races? Wet, wet/dry just makes overtaking difficuilt.
6. What's your favourite circuit you've raced? Oulton Park in the GB4 was awesome.

7. Favourite you've NOT raced? It's a weird one: Summit Point. Something about just flows so nicely in lightweight formula cars.

8. Your favourite F1 livery ever? John Player on the Lotus 78. (Also a bit biased since it was Ronnie Peterson driving🙂)

9. Your favourite helmet design ever?Daniel Ricciardos 2021 Monaco Special. That. Was. Awesome.

10. Who's the best driver you've raced against? There are many great drivers I've been up against but I'll have to say Joel Granfors. Great analytical skill and an amazing driver overall.
