The Mandalorian, Schumacher and Vettel: 10 More Questions to a Racing Driver with Ceran Singh Sokhi

My latest guest is the man aiming to become the first Sikh driver to race in F1, Ceran Singh Sokhi!

Ceran is currently trying to secure the funding required to race in the GB3 Championship this year, as he seeks to quickly advance his career.

Onto the questions!

1. Who’s your racing hero or heroes? Michael Schumacher all time, most recent Sebastian Vettel.

2. What’s the first memory you have of racing? First memory of racing was going to Teamsport Karting when I was around 8. At that time, we didn’t consider to do any sort of racing!

3. What’s the best car you’ve driven so far? Best car I’ve driven is the 2019 British F3 car. It’s an awesome car to drive!

4. What’s your proudest moment so far?Proudest moment so far is representing the Sikh community and people are starting to know me as becoming the world's first Sikh Formula 1 driver.

5. Your favourite overtake you’ve ever done? Proudest overtake, probably when it was in karting where I overtook 2 people on the same straight!

6. Would you rather race on a street course or on an oval? I would say street circuit, more challenging and more fun!

7. If you could pick any teammate, past or present, who would you choose? It would be Sebastian Vettel.

8. No gym, no sim, no travel, no racing; how would you spend a whole day off? Whole day off would be binge watching The Mandalorian! This is the way!

9. If you could drive any race car, past or present, what car would you choose? To race any type of race car… it would be the 2007 Ferrari V8. Watching the car on TV when I was 7 and seeing Kimi win, that would car be a dream come true. Another close competitor is the Ferrari FXX-K EVO!

10. What’s the strangest thing to happen to you while you’ve been in the car? The strongest thing which has happened in the car, is seeing my abilities come to life. Noticing my consistency as well as getting faster. Considering my lack of experience due to funding (I am seeking for multiple investors/sponsors on this journey) when the opportunity does come to test in GB3, I show my worth.

Thanks Ceran for another good chat! Best of luck getting back into a racecar, hopefully in the not too distant future!
