Verstappen, Spielberg and the Lotus 97T: 10 Questions to a Racing Driver with Ethan Ischer

My guest for my final interview of the year is Ethan Ischer! I spoke with him midway through the season and I'm delighted to finally share this chat I had with him for '10 Questions'!

Swiss teenager Ischer spent the majority of 2022 racing in Italian F4 but also featured as a guest driver in ADAC F4 and Spanish F4 with Jenzer.

Still just 15, Ethan is an exciting talent and will almost certainly be one to watch!

Onto his answers!

1. Hairpins or chicanes? Chicanes.

2. Long straights or slow corners? Slow corners.

3. Understeer or oversteer? Oversteer.

4. Fast circuits or technical circuits? Technical circuits.

5. Wet races or wet/dry races? Dry races.

6. What's your favourite circuit you've raced? Spielberg, I've already driven it but haven't had the race yet.(Since I spoke with him Ethan managed a P15, P20 and P22 at the Red Bull Ring!)

7. Favourite you've NOT raced? Portimão.

📸 Portimão is often referred to as a rollercoaster due to the massive undulation the circuit features.

8. Your favourite F1 livery ever? The Lotus 97T.

📸 Bruno Senna in his uncle Ayrton's Lotus. An iconic livery.

9. Your favourite helmet design ever? Max Verstappen Brésil 2021.

📸 Verstappen's Brazil design was eyecatching on what turned out to be a very busy weekend in São Paulo.

10. I don't really know! There are a lot of very good drivers.

📸 Ethan shared grids with the likes of Andrea Kimi Antonelli(top) and Nikola Tsolov(bottom), champions of their series' this year.

Thanks Ethan! I hope to chat with him again soon! Thanks to all for reading in 2022! Plenty to come in 2023!
