Josh Mason will debut at Spa-Francorchamps in FIA Formula 2 next this weekend for PHM Racing by Charouz but I'm certain a lot of people won't know who he is so...who's Josh Mason?
Mason, is a 21 year old British driver of Caribbean and Nigerian descent who up till now has raced in multiple series, but most recently the Euroformula Open Championship(EFO). He spent his childhood between Sussex, in the south east of England and the Cayman Islands.
He's in his third season of EFO, and has competed ably against tough opposition, winning 5 races, and taking 10 podiums against tough opponents like current F2 drivers Jak Crawford and Roman Stanek as well as Brad Benavides who he is replacing at PHM. He can also list 2022 IndyPro 2000 champion Louis Foster, former W Series racer Juju Noda and a multitude of current and Formula 3 racers in the catalogue of drivers he's raced against.

Speaking on Mason's arrival to the team, Team Manager Bob Vavrik said, "We are happy to welcome Josh Mason in our team for Spa. It will be a tough wet weekend for him as a rookie driver and the team in the current condition at this track. We are going through the whole process to prepare the driver for such a big step to FIA Formula 2.”

Mason meanwhile said; "It's a mix of emotions - excited, nervous and all the emotions are flowing through," said Mason. "To jump into Formula 2 around Spa in the wet means there's quite a lot being thrown at me, but I'm looking forward to get started with PHM Racing by Charouz."
